So who would your top pick be if The Commercial Appeal held a Shelby-Metro prep football fantasy league draft?

Dual-threat ECS quarterback Adam Currie? Do-it-all Harding wide receiver Marlon Brown? Southern Baptist Educational Center touchdown machine H.R. Greer?

In Tuesday’s Prep Insider, we asked the Commercial Appeal sports guys whom they would consider taking No. 1, and now we ask you, the fan.

Send us what you think.

I’d pick Hunter Cowan,of St. George’s because he is a winner that is an unselfish, hardworking team player, and is an incredible leader. I’m not sure whether I would play him at QB or LB.

Rob

Currie, no doubt

Steve O'Dell

Harding’s Marlon Brown is the number 1 pick. . Hands-down he is the best all-around athlete in Shelby-Metro football. With QB Drew Chick under center, this tandem can certainly rack up the yards. My third pick would be Kingsbury’s Gabriel Hunter. Brown and Hunter are juniors so just think about future of Prep Football in our town. What a great place to enjoy some football.

I would consider Eric Watson of CBHS - STRONG BACK , VERY VERSATILE , AND STAYS AWAY FROM THE INJURY BUG

Pete

1st pick — WR — Marlon Brown
2nd pick — RB — Gabriel Hunter
3rd pick — QB — Adam Currie
4th pick — K — St. George’s kicker
5th pick — give me Houston’s defense…

Jason, nice article. A fun read….
