Coach Ed Orgeron was in game mode during his session with reporters after today’s practice. Either that, or he was a little ticked off. Here’s his final Q&A session of the week in its unabridged entirety:
Q: How’d the week go?
A: Real good. Guys have responded really well. Worked very hard.
Q: Do you feel like your guys built off the Florida game?
A: We’ll see. Always look good in practice. We’ll see Saturday. I mean, really, we got to play better.
Q: How was tackling this week?
A: We’ll see on Saturday. We worked very hard, hours. Looks like it’s better. But Georgia’s going to make you miss.
Q: How has quarterback Seth Adams looked?
A: Looks fine. No problem.
Q: Kind of amazing with Seth that his name doesn’t come up a lot these days. He’s just been solid.
A: Well, it’s positive. You don’t hear about the Brent (Schaeffer) decision anymore. Seth’s positive, so you don’t hear much about positive news. I mean, really, it’s not a distraction, he’s doing his job, so nobody talks about him.
Q: Has he exceeded your expecatations?
A: Yeah, he’s doing well. He’s doing nice. I’d like to hear some good things about Seth. Really. Very positive.
Q: Have you been able to do more with him than you anticipated you would?
A: He’s coming along. I think the addition of Mike Wallace on the deep ball and Shay Hodge, I mean, those guys are catching the ball. He’s sitting in the pocket, and for the most part the protection’s been good. Still some things he can’t do, and we won’t do.
Q: How was running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis looked?
A: He’s a competitor. He sees the receivers have success, he wants to have it too. I’m looking for him having a big game. I watched (last year’s game against Georgia) yesterday, and he had some big runs against them. He did a good job.
