I am one of those who doesn’t get really keyed up for basketball until the football season is over. With that said, I’m really stoked about the Tigers taking the floor on Monday night. I’m pushing 50 and knowing that our Tigers are the #1 team in the country in quite a few polls just makes me all warm inside.

Look for the Tigers passing game to really pick up Saturday night. East Carolina has one of the worst pass defenses in the country. Martin Hankins completed at least 2 passes to 9 different guys last Saturday afternoon. If the Tigers can move it around like that this weekend we’ll eat some tacos big time.

Another season of college football and another non-BCS school is closing in on an undefeated season. It just makes me mad that these teams never get their due by the national media. I think if you’re unbeaten then you warrant consideration for the national championship game. It is possible that the top 10 in the BCS could have two loss teams in the running. There will be something seriously flawed if a team with two losses plays for the title with an unbeaten Hawaii getting passed over.

I’m stating the obvious here but to clarify for some of my buddies out there. The Tigers are a pass to set up the run offense.

In case you missed it…..VT has 4 jerseys come up missing prior to their game with GA Tech. They modified 4 old GA Tech jerseys to look like VT jerseys. The names of the back of the jerseys were written in with sharpies.

Do you think Southern Miss thinks Rice is an “awful” team? The Golden Eagles lost to the Owls in Hattiesburg.

Did you realize that the Tigers have picked off a pass in the last 4 games? Not too bad for a “crappy” defense.

I can’t compliment the O-line enough for the Tigers last week. They did not give up a sack while we threw the ball 32 times. Tulane decided to blitz the two middle linebackers a lot to stop the run. Our line held them off so we could take advantage.

My prediction….us more them less.
