According to Bobby Wilson of TWRA, Tuesday’s trout stockings came off OK despite the ridiculous heat.
Bobby said the water temperatures didn’t change as a result of the warm day, so the trout did fine.
There were a few casualties, as expected, mostly as a result of the long haul from Missouri to Tennessee. But overall the fish looked good, the sizes were good and they appeared to be OK after being stocked.
These lakes were stocked on Tuesday:
Cameron Brown Lake, 8628 Farmington Rd., Germantown
Collierville City Park
Martin City Pond
Reelfoot Packing Site, Union City
McKenzie City Park
Bartlett City Park (two lakes)
Stoneridge Park, 3525 Altruria Rd., Bartlett
Yale Road Park, 6241 Yale Road, Bartlett
Munford City Park

Well….not like I really want to let the word out but….
The trout did very well in the transport and they are HUNGRY now.
Caught my limit at Cameron Brown yesterday, 12/12/07. In the rain throwing a little fish shaped spinner with a silver blade, white and red tail. The biggest broke off at the wall, had to be 16-18″.
The main reason I put this out is to suggest you take a kid out fishing. They can catch them, cause they are there! a lttle work but not a lot of waitng. That goes for now, who knows in a week or two.
Good Luck,
Chef V.
