If you know my wife tell her I am so appreciative for letting me go to all the football games.

I’m trying to figure out Wednesday night’s game. I know Cal had to be upset with the officiating and I don’t blame him. Joey got beat down right before Cal got the tech. I guess the refs figured two wrongs do make a right.

The Tigers have shown over the past 5 games why they are one of the best teams in the country. There has been a different leading scorer in each game. Rose lead the way tonight with 26 tonight, Dorsey, Dozier and Taggart each had 11 against MTSU, Dozier lead the way with 13 in the USC victory, CDR dropped 23 on APSU and Willie Kemp went off for 22 against Arkansas State. Teams that don’t depend one guy night in and night out are less likely to have off nights.

I was sorry to see Dave Thomas transfer. He was a good possession receiver and appeared to be a good kid. But given the depth the Tigers have you can’t really blame him.

I like the two JUCO signings. I think it tells us a couple of things. First that the QB job will be up for grabs in the spring. And the WR corps just keeps getting better and better. I’m expecting to see a really good defensive class too.

If you thought my travels were impressive the other day then check this out. My friend Janice went to the UC game tonight. She’ll rush down to NOLA Friday getting there right at kickoff. Then she will be in her seat Saturday morning for the Tigers-Georgetown game. And here I thought I was doing something.

If you’re going to the bowl game then you need to know the Jazz Emporium is the unofficial party place. I think it is owned by former Tigers and current Saints CB Mike McKenzie. Come on by, it’ll be festive to say the least.

The Manswers show is one of the funniest on TV.

Another thing that really impressed me tonight was the fact that Joey and Shawn only played 35 minutes between the two of them because of fouls. Despite the bigs not being in the game the Tigers still won. I’ll take it.

What in the heck has happened at the University of Cincinnati? There were a lot of empty seats and the crowd was sedate to start the game. It wasn’t long ago this was a heated rivalry. The #2 team in the country was in town and they turned out very poorly in my opinion.

There is still time for you to go to NOLA.

There was an article in the New Orleans Times Picayune this week about Danny Wimprine. I believe D-Wimp was as important as DeAngelo was to the success of the program. Someday I hope that the number 18 will no longer be worn by a Tigers football player.

Hmm, how about some predictions for Friday night.
1. Martin Hankins will at least throw for his average of the last six games.
2. The Tigers will win the turnover battle.
3. Duke Calhoun will have a near career night.
4. Joe Doss will have a night that will end his career at Memphis appropriately.
5. The Memphis fans will have one sweeeeeeeeeeet time.
