Ho, hum, just another Tigers blowout win. Nah, there’s no hohum in my mind. I love seeing the Tigers wipe the floor with teams.
How about the FT shooting in those 2 games? They took advantage of the 9 FT’s they got Saturday night making 7 o 9 for a 77.8%. That’s after 63% on Wednesday night. Are they on an upswing?
Ok, nobody will believe me but I picked all 4 NFL games right this weekend. I know, you read that and said, “yeah right.” But I did it out of my like or dislike of the teams. I like the Pats because of Gotti. I like the Packers because of Favre and have liked the Packers since I was a kid. And aren’t kids in cities without NFL fans of teams who win championships in their formative years? And how can you NOT like Brett Favre? 38 and plays the game like he’s 18. I like the Chargers because I became a Chargers fan when I was onboard the Kitty Hawk. We got cheap tickets and I went to every game we were in port. And finally, I despise “The Popcorn WR.” I think he’s everything wrong with pro sports. He’s selfish and cares only for himself. So I went with the Giants. I’ll go on record with the Pats and Packers this weekend. We’ll see a rematch of Super Bowl XXXI only with a different outcome.
Signing day is a little less than a month away. I like signing day because it gives me a football fix in the offseason. I’m sure some of you “anti-Tigers” will eat that up.
Who else was screaming at Comcast the other night? There were 200 people in the gym watching FAU-Troy. I doubt that many others wanted to see that mess over the Tigers. Maybe someone can explain to me how ESPN can switch games locally but CSS can’t.
The more I watch the Tigers the more I truly believe the 5-10 guys are the only ones who could challenge our starters in a game.
I kind of felt bad for Marshall. It is a great college sports town. Some Memphis fans could learn a lot from them. For them to get the beat down they got, you just had to hate it for them.
The Marshall game was the 16th road game in the new conference alignment. The Tigers are 15-1 in those games. They average 78 points while holding opponents 64 points. Since the new conference the Tigers have only had 3 games that they didn’t win by double digits. The loss to UAB of course in 06, the Morris Almond led Rice Owl in 06 and oddly enough, the SMU Mustangs in last year’s conference finale. Otherwise it has been and will continue to be, dominate.
