If you’re up early Saturday morning - and snowed in with nothing better to do - you should tune in to Outdoors with Larry Rea on WMC 790-AM.
The show starts at 6:30.
I’ll be joining Larry for my monthly spot, and we’ll talk fishing with Dave Rizzuto of the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m not saying you should only listen to Larry when you’re snowed in with nothing better to do.
This is just a reminder that I’m on the air with him this week.
Larry knows I’m just yankin’ his chain.

Vance Walberg, the former Pepperdine coach, who resigned in January under a cloud of controversy was scheduled to arrive in Memphis on Friday and spend all of next week here, according to coach John Calipari.
Walberg and Calipari, as most Memphis fans know, have become good friends over the past few years. Calipari met Walberg, then a junior college coach in Fresno, and adopted his driving motion offense. Now that Walberg is a couple months removed from his resignation, it’s no surprise he’s coming to Memphis to lend his hand and spend some time around the program. I’m sure this has been a very depressing ordeal for Walberg, but he’ll have no shortage of job offers, especially given the positive publicity his offense has received thanks to Memphis’ recent success. It wouldn’t be a shock if Walberg eventually ends up on the Memphis staff should there be an assistant coach opening. On the other hand, Walberg could simply go back to coaching at the JC level. Either way, Calipari will certainly seek his input in the short-term as Memphis tries to gear up for the NCAA Tournament.

Only Common Sense will tell you that the University of Memphis needs an On Campus Stadium. Anyone who tells you anything different has an agenda contrary to overall health of the Tigers athletic programs.
The truth of the matter is (and the study will show) that the University will be able to pay for it without public funding. An OCS will enhance the overall health of our football program. I’ve heard the following questions and I’ll address them as best I can. If I can’t give you an answer then I’ll talk to someone who can answer it appropriately.
