I’m going to look into that question about the other state school stadiums today. I do know that the UT system is different that the system we’re under if that helps from jump street.

Thank you Mike Davis. Any chance of the Tigers overlooking you if we play in the tournament is now effectively GONE. His refusal to compliment the Tigers’ effort on Saturday will come back to haunt him. You’re wondering what he said, “… We could have gotten beat by 40 by anybody. We just weren’t ready to play.” The Tigers are not just anybody and you will have motivated them once again. Davis, you’re not any different than the idiot in a orange jumpsuit after all.

Big kudos to Tigers alumnus Danny Wimprine. D-Wimp got his first start yesterday for the New Orleans Voodoo and tore it up. He threw 37 passes, completed 27 for 311 yards and six touchdowns.

The Oregon Urology Institute gets my vote for the most creative advertising campaign in the history of advertising. They are looking for guys to get vasectomies next Wednesday. They will do as many as 24 of them so guys can sit home and watch the games on Thursday and Friday. If you do that just be careful that your team isn’t playing because jumping up out of your chair could be very, very dangerous.

If you still don’t believe that officials can’t affect the outcome of a game then you haven’t been paying attention to the UCLA games. That debacle Saturday was an embarrassment to college sports. The two crews from those games need to be fired and publicly chastised. Another embarrassment is the way national media “experts” have acted. Inconclusive my gluteus maximus.

Any school who is NOT over .500 in their own league should NOT be invited to the NCAA tournament. I think it is time for some hard and fast criteria to be put on the selection committee. I’m only asking for two. The first would be that a team must finish with at least a .500 record in their conference record. They must also finish .500 in their out of conference record if they do not win at least 75% of their conference games. I don’t think this is asking too much out of the schools. Miami (FL), Texas A&M, Villanova, Syracuse, Florida and Mississippi have no business in the NCAA’s. By putting any of these teams in the tournament the NCAA is just padding the pockets of the “Big 6″ conferences.

I’m beginning to look at the Tigers as the “heel” of college basketball. That’s a wrestling term. We’re the bad guys for no real reason but it seems that the national media has to have someone to hate. So we’re the bad guys. I figure that’s ok because the heels win most of the matches.
