I got an email today about a deer that was supposedly found swimming 1.5 miles off the Maryland shore when it was picked up by a couple of fishermen.

Supposedly, the deer didn’t put up much of a fight when they picked it up because it was so exhausted.

If it’s not a hoax, this is some really weird stuff.

I have been getting a lot of request for my NCAA Tournament picks, so here goes. I started my picks this year with one primary assumption. The vast majority of brackets I’ve seen from my fellow media types have three of the four No. 1 seeds in the Final Four, with Memphis being the one left out. As sort of an iconoclast, this means just one thing to me: Memphis is probably the only No. 1 seed that will get to the Final Four.
