If you didn’t catch Denny Brauer’s seminar at FedExForum last night, you really missed out.
I’m not a big fan of fishing seminars as a rule. Sometimes you sit down for a seminar and end up feeling like you’ve gotten stuck in a government filibuster.
But Denny’s not like that.
His seminars are short and sweet, and there are no wasted words.
One of my favorite things he said last night was this:
“If you drop a lure on a fish’s head, that fish has two choices - eat it or move out of the way. Bass usually think the lure is a crawdad, and no bass wants to be told by a crawdad to move. So he’s gonna eat it.”
That’s good, old, plain-spoken talk from a guy who’s just like you and me.
You know, except for the fame and the millions of dollars he has.
