Lots of indications that Travis Ford, the current UMass coach, will be heading to LSU to take over for John Brady once the NIT championship game is complete.
Ford was hired over Tony Barbee three years ago at UMass, but don’t be surprised if UMass hires current Memphis assistant Derek Kellogg this time. Kellogg is, obviously, an alumnus. And coming off a Final Four at Memphis, Kellogg would be a logical choice.
In fact, there’s already a Facebook link started by UMass students promoting Kellogg for the job.

I always figured that the downside of success would be losing good assistants. Now that we’re 27-1 it was only a matter of time until some rumblings. If he goes good luck to DK.
Hopefully he stays.

Not to necessarily get off topic here, but I’ve been posting at the Bruin Nation and they’re doing a fair amount of trash talking.
Perhaps you can pay them a visit and let them know how you feel.

Dan, well done today on ESPN First Take. You were more informative and sounded more relaxed than any of the other beat writers from the respective Universities.
