I wrote a whole blog earlier, but the NCAA’s poor Internet system here erased it. Oh well. I don’t know if I can totally recap what I wrote but here’s the meat of it: The Final Four is really cool. The atmosphere is electric. I think Memphis will win.

If the Tigers play well, and reach any semblance of the level they reached last weekend, they will be playing on Monday in the championship game which would be extremely special for this program. It’s important to push the pace, which means they’ve got to rebound and gget the ball quickly up the court to create transition points. Once they get into the halfcourt, however, the Tigers must be patient offensively and get high quality shots like they did last weekend.

Kevin Love will get his points and rebounds; in fact, Dorsey and Dozier may have to concede some easy baskets during the game simply to stay out of foul trouble. They just can’t afford to take themselves out of the game by fouling. When Love gets the ball, swarm him. If Josh Shipp and Darren Collison beat you by shooting 3-pointers, so be it.

I like the Tigers to win. I think Memphis and North Carolina have been the two best teams from start to finish this year, and it would be a fitting way to conclude the season Monday night.
