Mike Curtis, the Grizzlies’ strength and conditioning coach for the past six seasons, has left the franchise for the University of Michigan.
Curtis will work with Michigan men’s and women’s basketball teams in the same capacity.

“I don’t know if I can put into words the feeling of being here on this campus and having the opportunity to be a part of the Michigan family,” Curtis said in a statement released today. “I’m really looking forward to helping coach (John) Beilein and coach (Kevin) Borseth build their programs and put a winner out on the court each and every night.”

In his role with the Griz, Curtis oversaw off-court conditioning while assisting the athletic training staff with the rehabilitation of injuries. Before working for the Grizzlies, Curtis was the basketball strength coach for the University of South Carolina (2001-02).
