Another C-USA season and tournament is in the books and once again the Tigers stand atop the conference. Yes, I know that’s obvious to you all but it makes me feel good to say it so I’m saying it.
I want to say congratulations to the Tigers for their win today and the fantastic season. Back to back perfect conference seasons was a fitting conclusion to the career of Joey Dorsey. The media may not like him but we Tigers fans LOVE the kid. What about Big AA. Anderson winning the MVP of the tournament should put the rest of the country on alert that the Tigers are a TEAM. They have many guys who can beat you.

I’m probably more upset (I’m being PC and avoiding editing here) about the charade put on yesterday by the Board of Visitors yesterday. So I figured it was best to sit back and let my head clear for a few hours before I “blogged.”
I won’t name names but you can look up the board members and see why they did what they did. In order to avoid lawsuits I can’t and won’t say my honest opinion here. But pay close attention to the names involved with the votes then the names in the fairgrounds redevelopment. I’m not saying, I’m just saying.

Anyone who wants an on-campus stadium needs to email your thoughts to University of Memphis President Dr. Shirley Raines. Her email address is sraines@memphis.edu. Below is my letter to her.
Dr. Raines,
This is going to sound a little strange but please take a few moments to hear me out.

I’m going to look into that question about the other state school stadiums today. I do know that the UT system is different that the system we’re under if that helps from jump street.
Thank you Mike Davis. Any chance of the Tigers overlooking you if we play in the tournament is now effectively GONE. His refusal to compliment the Tigers’ effort on Saturday will come back to haunt him. You’re wondering what he said, “… We could have gotten beat by 40 by anybody. We just weren’t ready to play.” The Tigers are not just anybody and you will have motivated them once again. Davis, you’re not any different than the idiot in a orange jumpsuit after all.

Only Common Sense will tell you that the University of Memphis needs an On Campus Stadium. Anyone who tells you anything different has an agenda contrary to overall health of the Tigers athletic programs.
The truth of the matter is (and the study will show) that the University will be able to pay for it without public funding. An OCS will enhance the overall health of our football program. I’ve heard the following questions and I’ll address them as best I can. If I can’t give you an answer then I’ll talk to someone who can answer it appropriately.

I love music and the Tigers so I tend to associate songs with the Tigers. Here’s my latest song associations.
Control- Puddle of Mudd -The Tigers dominance of C-USA.
Settlin’- Sugarland- The Tigers aren’t settlin’ for another Elite Eight.
Jim Dandy To the Rescue- Black Oak Arkansas - Derrick Rose’s theatrics Saturday when he scored 22 in the 2nd half.

I’m avoiding all temptation of saying anything about what might be.
CSTV is terrible. I don’t know where they got this Carter Blackburn fellow but he’s terrible. He seems lost during key moments of the game. Gillen does ok and I was surprised by the positive things Packer had to say Wednesday but it is difficult to overcome CB’s shortcomings. I guess he isn’t as bad as the CSS guys. At the end of the UAB game they said, “They’re looking at the replay to see if he was fouled.”
